    This was I believe maybe a table … I was given this many years ago but never had a use for it …. it could possibly make 2 guitar bodies … it’s 1 piece pretty dead flat and been dry stored 10 yrs … there is a slight piece of wood glued in the bottom …it’s a big piece for a single bit non joined...

    What you could do is spray a mix of tung oil thinned with white spirit 70/30 heavy in spirit… I’ve treated rusty metal and it holds it in a sort of arty suspended state with an ancient steel kind of look … it oxidises and coats the steel … linseed oil I have used also but doesn’t last as long...

    hammer n4400 set up advice

    I’ve just set it up with the teeth just off the edge of the wheel with a 1” blade and I’m getting a reasonable rip cut in 8” X 2” Douglas fir … I think a little more tension than shown on the indicator is necessary… now just to make a deep fence up for ripping… thanks for the replies 👍

    I’m just buying a used n4400 hammer bandsaw .. I’m in Somerset . Could anyone recommend where to buy and which blades to buy for ripping ? I want to rip quite a large amount of pine and maybe some ash … all green into boards Advice most welcome thanks in advance . Jim
