    Planer secondary fence

Hi all, I have the bench top planer thicknesses from Rutlands, and it works well for my smallish shed workshop (3x10m), especially for the price point (£200 on sale): https://www.rutlands.com/products/planer-thicknesser But; the fence doesn't move across the bed to allow stock to be run across...

    Shed extension.

Hi all, I have a shed (this one: Montana Barn in the 12x8 size). I'm going to be making it longer to extend into the dead space currently behind it and add about two meters of length. So I'll be taking the back wall off, extending the sides, floor and roof and then re-attaching the rear wall...

Pocket Hole screws - where to purchase?

Hi all, I recently used up all of my 64mm Kreg outdoor (blue ones) pocket hole screws that came with my jig. I was very surprised to find out how much these screws cost on their own. The best I could find was £9 for 50 screws, which is 18 pence per screw. Only slightly better pricing when...

    Saw identification

Inherited this saw and I'm curious if anyone can ID it - it's definitely a few decades old at least. The only stamp seems to be a generic royal stamp, but don't know if that's unique to a brand or not. The R L embossed are the initials of the previous owner. Pictures below. Thanks!

Wanted Dovetail guide wanted - Katz Moses or similar

Hi all, I'm looking for a dovetail guide - ideally the Katz-Moses one, but open to others. 1:8 ratio if possible. Considered buying the Katz-Moses one but the postage to UK + customs duty puts it at over £40 which feels like a bit much. So if you've got one that's surplus to requirements I'd...

    Evolution Rage 5S setup

Hi all, Got a new table saw and putting it together today. A slight annoyance that I can't seem to solve. Maybe I've missed something - I can't get the measuring line on the front to be accurate. When I have the orange marker on 0, and the fence pushed up against the blade, the measuring line...

    A birch ply alternative found?

Hi, My local timber yard obviously can't supply baltic birch plywood at the moment. Asking them about alternatives that are pretty and consistent enough for furniture where the ply cross section is exposed they've offered the below. Anyone know anything about this? Visually, it looks good to me...
