    India’s successful Moon Landing

That is just another bunch of parasites - I won't argue this one :D Jews were allowed by their God to be kicked out of their land as a punishment for their sins. They were supposed to never come back there but the West decided otherwise and destabilized the whole region, giving a spark to the...

    India’s successful Moon Landing

Real parasites in the UK are living on the dole generation after generation whining for scraps before every election and going for who can throw them most.

    mahogany desk build questions

Hello. Recently I've got my hands on quite a lot of mahogany boards (some of it rescued from a lumberyard set on fire 30? years ago). Boards are random. The nicest and oldest are nearly 2000x300x60mm plus many random bits and boobs (furniture trims, tables, sink plates) that were salvaged/...

    bathroom corner basket installation

Have a good weekend folks and thanks for any advice given. My girlfriend recently bought 2 corner baskets that I must install in the shower cabin. Unfortunately, she bought ones with suction cups and we have textured tiles so this won't work. Mentioned suction cups have m8 thread in them so I...

Advice needed jointer vs planer thicknesser

Metabo HC260 is fitted with aluminium tables. Still very capable machine. When I was on the market I've decide to fork out for Itech 260s. No regrets ;)

    Making Sprung Bed Slats

Hmm a different experience with Simba for me. We left our mattress to get to its shape after unpacking, which was all the hassle I remember. My partner did not complain about the smell and she is pretty sensitive when it comes to scents. Mattress stiffness is a personal thing. Recently we were...

    Advice requested on a thicknesser

I've had Metabo DH330 thicknesser and while I'm happy with the performance, I can't say it is quiet. Recently I bought a larger p/t with an induction motor and I can have a phone conversation right beside it. As far as I know, none of the benchtop thicknessers with dc motors will be quiet but...

    Pillar drill

I do have Bosh PBD40 and it is a really nice drill if your space is limited or your budget does not include a sturdier floor standing unit. There was a small amount of runout (.24mm on 200mm so it would not affect woodworking but still) which can be totally eliminated by replacing bearings...

    CamVac 386-5 or Axminster AW118CE

Hi folks. I am seeking a bit of advice and I did not want to create a new thread, as my question is on a similar subject. Recently I become the happy owner of the iTech 260s planer/ thicknesser but the shop vac/ cyclone combo does not provide the necessary suction for that size of the machine...

    Rutlands 18v trim router

Rutlands are just rebadging goods from bangood/ aliexpress etc. Their reviews are probably written by themselves seeing so many complaints about their power tools. Simple products like feather boards and mitre gauges do work but then you can get them cheaper from China and regret your purchases...

Car Diagnostic scanners - anybody use them?

Very true. Recently my partner had to leave her Audi A3 due to some ongoing issues. Fortunately, her new mechanic is ex VW group employee specialising in Audi. He told us that new cars coming from VW Group are built to last 7 years (not sure if that applies to the premium sector aka Porshe...

    Dado Sets

By the very nature of that type of grind, they perform much better on rip cuts. Crosscuts need bevelled edges that provide cutting action. In the US you can get ATBR combination blades - ATB+FTG tooth to clear the centre of the cut, but kerf remains relatively small. Just a thought - router...
