    Cutting boards without table saw, planer etc

    So I’ve spent WAY too many hours watching YouTube videos of folks making cutting boards and I really would like to get into it. Is it possible without a table saw and a thickness planer? Anyone on here into making cutting boards?

    Got a new vice....

    So... I bought an “Irwin Record” vice today and even just holding it I can tell it’s better than the nasty b&q one. However.... stupid question alert... The holes for attacking the cheeks aren’t tapped. Am I missing something? How do you attack the cheeks? Sorry for all the newbie questions.

    Vice install

    Places to buy wood online?

    So far b&q is where I’ve bought my wood. I’m almost certain this is a bad move. Any tips for places to big nice hardwood? I want to get into making some nice chopping boards for my parents and in laws. Thanks.

    First ever project - go easy :-)

    I got this from B&Q: And turned it into this: All I did was sand it down, which was hugely satisfying, and the routed the edges with a round over bit. This is the first but of woodworking I’ve done since high school some 25 years ago. .... it’s a chopping board lol
