Aldi Bandsaw ( new model) coming soon. Buy it or choose other model

Given that there’s no doubt most of the folks here will likely want to replace the stock blade with a general purpose one (at least) from Tuffsaws, I wonder if there’s an opportunity for some sort of group buy?🤔

    Ripping down fence pickets

Plunge & circular saws excel at cross-cutting and working with sheet goods etc. Assuming you’re ripping 2 x 4’s etc then you’ll likely have a frustrating (and potentially dangerous) experience - it’s not that it can’t be done but you’d have to have a way of supporting & guiding the saw flat...

Do I need to return this Makita SP6000 plunge saw?

I have the Makita and I noticed (a little late) that it had what sounds like exactly your issues. Some tips/points to double check that I came across as a beginner plunge saw user; Read the instruction manual. No really…read the instruction manual again! There’s some useful information on how...

    Milwaukee

I can’t speak for Milwaukee tools, but just last week picked up a 12v FlexiClick kit from MyToolShed and (like previous purchases) it was a pleasant experience and received very quickly...believe it was DHL courier 🚚 with text time slot delivery etc. 🤔

Given my ongoing frustrations with the (not so) cheap or cheerful M&W plastic callipers, I think these look worth a try 😊👍

A question you are probably fed up with

After waiting and price watching for some 4mths, I managed to grab one of these for £211 via Amazon at the beginning of the summer. It’s my first bench/pillar drill so I don’t have anything else to compare it to but overall I’m pleased with it. The lowest price I’ve ever seen it listed was £199...

    A more active Rutlands

I can’t speak for the back office/purchasing/rebranding etc...but I’m 100% with you on the latest products - the show reel on the homepage is almost a mirror of Dennis’ China Tools series. The apparent offer of a Lifetime Warranty may go some way to help with quality concerns...that, or they...

    Anyone tried Bluetooth Ear Defenders?

Whilst I can't speak for the 'traditional' over-ear style defenders (with Bluetooth) I can say that active noise-cancelling - certainly the latest tech implementation of the system - has been a genuine revelation. Certainly for home/hobby use I've found using mine to be a great improvement and...
