Axminster Craft AC118CE Cyclone Dust Extractor. Any1 got 1 ?

I have one of these and has proved a great bit of kit, use it with 100mm pipework connected to 5 machines. Had it about 18 months and still using original bags. Longest run is about 6m and works well.

    Remote switch on of Extractor

Hi Has anyone made their extractor remote switch turn-on? I have a couple of remote control plugs, but the extractor has the hard push switches so have to push each time. Is there a quick fix? Hopefully something obvious I have missed. Thanks in advance

Probably going to be for filling the odd air bubble on resin table, and odd crack in some bowls.

    16amp socket advice

Just had mine done by contractor for piece of mind, although my workshop was only built in 2009 it wasn't feed with a 10mm earth, just standard twisted pair with 6mm earth. He couldn't sign off on paperwork without this so got him to fit correct earth. So one thing to think about.

    16amp single phase table saw

Having read the other post I think it would be sensible to fit a dedicated supply, I have air conditioning being fitted this week they are wiring that in, will get them to check my rcd's and run a line. Thanks for the help.

    16amp single phase table saw

Hi Need some advice, I have purchased a table saw which has a 16amp plug on it, single phase, to plug into standard plugs can I just use a fly lead converter? They say ideal for camping etc. But no mention of anything else. Thanks in advance

    Live edge console table

Really nice first use of resin, brushing resin on the live edges and leaving to dry before the main pour should prevent any air bubbles escaping into the main pour. You can also get rid of a lot of these with a small blow torch, but will not get rid of all without the pre-sealing method. I use...

    Mitre bench finish

Hi Just made my mitre bench using beech ply for the tops, what finish would people recommend to put on it? Not after staining just protection which allows wood to slide and protect the surface a bit. Thanks Graham

    Workshop Oven

Thanks for the info, I was thinking of around 90 degrees for drying, hadn't thought about fumes but important, workshop is around 6m by 5.5m, considering microwave, can do on defrost might be better than oven. Food for thought. Thanks

    Workshop Oven

What small oven would you recommend for my workshop? After drying, stabilising wood, but not large items. Thanks in advance Graham

    Resin and spalted beech

You could fill the outside with some milliput to stabilise and then part turn the inside and let dry, it sounds like you may get some more cracking. The milliput polishes up but don't think you can get clear resin.

Post a photo of the last thing you turned (!)

Bowl with stand, took a while as coloured and lacquered, lots of waiting time but leaves a good finish.

    Chuck Jaw storage ideas

Starting to get a collection of Chuck jaws now and thinking of best way to fix these to a board for easy access. After ideas and pictures of how people have done this using easy to get fixings, can think of a lot of ways to do this but what do you think is the best way to do this? Thanks in...
