    Rectangle 《》round dust collector adaptor

This is almost certainly too late for the OP, but for others who have a similar problem, reducing the size of round connectors is described elsewhere on the forum. Once the correct round size is reached, then you can get to rectangular by using a heatgun and a piece of wood made the same size as...

    What Generator ?

Honda is definitely the one to look at. Which one? Go to www.petepower.co.uk, he's the best source available, and I have no financial interest.

Can someone help with my dust separator issue?

Several years ago I made a cyclone. It caught most of what came in, but the top to my bucket was a sheet of MDF. That stuff is unbelievably leaky. I gave it a few coats of paint which made a difference Now as to your cyclone, the one I made was a design by Bill Pentz, http://www.billpentz.com...

    Facebook and websites...

I suppose facebook might help some, but I like many others I don't use facebook, twitter, or any other so called "social" websites. Forums are as near as I get.

Are scrollsaws able to cut OSB boards?

There's probably not enough time now, perhaps change the lesson content? He could approach flooring companies for some off-cuts. They probably take bits of 3/4" oak home to burn on the fire.

Foot... can I take it off?

Don;t waste valuable drawer space, put it in the bin. Rather than blow dust, suck it. Rig up a bracket to hold a vacuum pipe near the blade, and use a HEPA filter. Wood dust is bad news, just watch someone die from wood dust induced emphysema.

    Hegner Scroll Saws

It's not worn, I just need the dimensions. Do you still have them,or do I have to ask Hegner?

    Hegner Scroll Saws

Geoff, I have an old cast iron table with a slot, and there is a big-ish cutout to allow the table to tilt. This seems quite a large hole. Does the new table have a smaller slot? If you say the removable insert gives little benefit, I won't bother with it.

    Rifflers

Frustrating, it's not easy to see what the numbers define you will be getting.

    Hegner Scroll Saws

That's handy. What are the dimensions? I may get mine done if it's not too expensive.

    Scroll Saw Particulate Masks ?

It is best to use suction to collect the dust if possible (and even better to have the exhaust routed outside). If you use a mask, you avoid breathing the dust directly from the saw, but there is plenty that floats and plenty that settles on your clothing which then gets thrown around when you...

    Got one

Flourescent lights are available from 6" and upwards. If you use flourescent make sure they are high frequency or you will get strobe effects from the blade. A better light would be a LED strip. They are available to fit in the standard flourescent holders. They are more expensive, last longer...

Newbie, best place to obtain birch ply?

I found this in seconds by googling "birch ply west sussex". http://www.mstc.co.uk/birchplywood.php

    Got one

Buy a good quality switch, they are not cheap, but they do a lot of work, and I suspect a cheap one will fail sooner. Possibly much sooner.

    Scrollsaw Stand

IMO there are two problems with Silverline. One is they are in the same quality bracket as Clarke, and from the few things I have bought, I have been disappointed. Second is the stands have four legs. That makes it more difficult than three legs to find a position where it doesn't rock.

    Scrollsaw Stand

The Hegner stand looks expensive, but unless you have welding kit and a space to weld, and you have room to paint it, £150 is not that bad. For a firm to earn a living they have to look at £300 a day, so 1/2 day to build and finish one would be difficult to do at home, even a day would be...

That's a pity replying by PM, that means the rest of us don't learn anything. And boy, have I got a lot to learn?

    Axminster 18

If you look on ebay you can get a hegner Multicut 2se with variable speed for less than £385. Mine came with a stand.

    draper-22791-405mm-90w-230v advice?

IMO Draper is a bit like Clarke, there are better tools available. A better approach is to look on ebay, you could get a Hegner Multicut 1 for less, which would be a much better tool.
