    Shelving gallows brackets Qf

I'm sure you are totally correct but I don't have the skills nor time to attempt that. By the time I have done all the shelves that would be heading north of 40 joints. I can't even find anything on how to M&T 45 degrees to vertical? Anyway it's academic as it ain't happening here. :) Thanks for...

    Shelving gallows brackets Qf

yes I think I am going to keep the pure triangle to max the diagonal length. It's been suggested to go to a thicker ply but the timber is a lot cheaper than the plywood so I am tempted to keep the 12mm for the shelving as they are not going to be supporting anything really heavy. Possibly one...

    Shelving gallows brackets Qf

I am about to make brackets for three lengths of shelving 500mm deep. I am using pine 46 x 34mm and had thought of a 500x 500 triangle with the long side 707mm. I am wondering if making the long leg shorter might be as strong but also look better? There is nothing massively heavy to go on the...

    Trend Unibase screws?

I am aiming to use an old router for dovetail work. I found the guide bush I have wouldn't fit so bought the Unibase. It fits the router and amongst the astonishing amount of screws, there were three to do the fixing. Next obviously was to fit the bushing to the foot. The Unibase has two...

    Advice please on dust extraction

I have seen the 685 yes and noted its one horse power. A lot of my work will be with insulation type material so not heavy chips. It's also tempting from the point that it can be wall mounted. Pete

    Advice please on dust extraction

I have invested in a Charnwood 619 table saw and now need a dust/chip extractor. Charnwood sell one which can be wall mounted with is tempting but would it be a sensible buy? My budget is £200 tops. Pete

    Table saw suggestions please?

Thanks for that, theres nothing like getting real feedback. My current one is a pain as regardless of how I set it up the accuracy wonders off and what should be an accurate half lap joint is out by two or three mil. Vexing to put it mildly. I need audio dampening in the garage for the cursing!

Hello everyone, I have joined the site as after spending come very frustrating hours trawling various search engines for some plans have come to realise that they are not so freely available as it seems on the surface and no I don't want to spend $67 thank you. I have two gates to build and...

Constructing a Bee Hive, need decent plans.

Some right info on this thread and some not so. Just to let you know I have been in bees since 1987 so been around the block so to speak. Very much beware American info as one they use mainly Langstroth hives, which are very good but very thin for the UK, and two, a very different climate...
