    had to do a lot of this type of repair when I was an apprentice in the 60's, it was seen has a punishment if you hadn't toed the line, I must have been a pain the buttocks. But done well will last for years

    Hi all, just taken delivery of this lot, all free a friend just needed the space back first pic is mainly english oak and 3 large slices of sycamore 16''to 20''dia., second pic not sure yet and the last, a nice well shaped bit of sycamore. I think I've got a bit of time at the lathe

    Hi, yes Kenny did fix it in the end, been working ok since sept. 21 but no ice and his only answer to that was "I don't even use the ice maker on my fridge I just buy it". He never told me what sensors he replaced but had to order them for Italy. I will check his old messages to see if he makes...

    most places with ulez that charge are just building cash income so what happens when all the non-comforming vehicles are gone? Pay per mile but a long time ago when it was looked at by the government ( we never had the tec then anyway) the average year mileage was going to cost twice the road...

    a bigger scam from Kahn is the congestion change on a Sunday, was in the London in my old but ulez compliant car but had to pay the congestion charge to go into the Barbican, when it ends at 18.00 the traffic jams start. Came out to head home about 22.30 into jams in the area

    my stamp came from the same sort of shop can't remember the name at the moment, it was just up the road from Kings Cross in London they had a man in a van who toured round all the workshops. If we did not have our tools stamped we was not covered by the firms insurance

    the wood is Sycamore came my garden a few years ago, the stamp works fine in hardwood just one good blow with a hammer

    when an apprentice in the late 1960's I was made to have a name stamp for my tools so when retired and the woodturning disease got me I stated stamping the items just another bit that escaped the log box
