    band saw upgrade

    looking to upgrade from ALDI/workzone bandsaw whilst this is a reasonable saw it has limitations - poor fence , no mitre slot, difficult to do repeatable cuts due to space limitations in my workshop!! ( 7 x 5 shed ) has to be bench top model any recommendations? thanks

    bandsaw/scrollsaw decison

    i currently have a 2nd hand excalibur ex16 and an Aldi bandsaw been getting more into bandsaw but 75mm depth of cut is a bit limiting. for me it is easier to use bandsaw, i am making boxes etc so i am thinking sell ex16 and aldi b/saw and buy a better spec bandsaw would a thinner blade be able...

    Hi Having seen Nev's excellent beetles from line drawings how easy or difficult would it be to turn this into pattern? what would you recommend i own the 200 version of this and use it to commute 40 miles daily , weather permitting!!
