    Table saw advice.

Maths was the subject I liked most at school. Don't use the vast majority of it now but it's satisfying knowing how to at times like that.

    Table saw advice.

Yep - cheers Mike, I remember all the SOH CAH TOA stuff, just wasn't sure if as I said above there was any kind of lateral shift involved when the blade is tilted. It appears that there is not.

    Table saw advice.

Ok, thanks Roy. I see which way they do it. The reason I asked is that I can see that the axis upon which the blade pivots isn't at table height but I wasn't sure how the assembly under the table might affect the height of cut.

    Table saw advice.

Hi all, looking at buying a table saw and wondered if there is a convention as to how these things are specified. So in the spiel for the Bosch GTS10XC for example it states; 47°-0-1° blade tilt (depth 79mm at 90°, 56mm at 45°) Now with reference to the attached, it does 79mm on a vertical...

    Tool identification help.

Oh my word. Thanks a million. I don’t remember it being by Trend, but of course you are correct. I’m going to buy the book as it’ll probably come in handy. Weirdly it’s £20 at Amazon Uk but $0.01 (+$3.99 postage), at Amazon US so I’ll get the American copy. Anyhow Skelph, many thanks again for...

    Tool identification help.

Gentlemen, (and ladies), Hi. Need a bit of help. A few years back I purchased the accessory as per the image to go with my T5 router. I can’t remember where I got it from and there is no brand name on it either. All I remember is that I used it to cut a few small circles. Do any of you out...

    Router Table Questions

You’re a gentleman Adam. I’ll bear in mind. I was looking closely at that vertical and can see that I need to adjust the grub screws a little. So that’s next on the list. Then to actually fit my new T10!!

    Router Table Questions

Hi all. Need to bug you all for more help please. Have recently bought an Xact Pro Router table. (MDF thing with a phenolic insert). Now my question is regarding the fitting of the insert. Obviously I can see that it needs to be smaller than the aperture into which it fits, but how much...

    Which dust extractor for planer/thicknesser

    Looks very fancy that.

    Which dust extractor for planer/thicknesser

But the question is what? It can’t be a mesh or filter type insert. It would clog immediately. Also if it is an EU requirement it needs to be such that it leaves an aperture small enough that you can't get your hand in. If possible, I’d make the intake like a curved tube. Long and curved enough...

    Which dust extractor for planer/thicknesser

Thanks for that. I’ll have to remove it if I don’t want to be slowed down by significant amounts. Had a good visual and I did put my hand in, (whilst unplugged), and it didn’t appear to be anything structural.

    Which dust extractor for planer/thicknesser

Hi all. First post here, please go easy on me. With regard to the DK6683, I’m wondering if I can improve it. I use it on a JET JWP-12 thicknesser, (brilliant piece of kit BTW). What I do find though is that the thing clogs very very quickly, indeed, (the extractor that is). Now looking...
