3d print query - bonded print faces

I'd like your thoughts/advice please. I use Tinkercad for my modelling........I've noticed that if, when modelling, I place the flat face of an object up against another flat face (ie the distance between them is zero) the final printed model will quite easily allow me to detach those faces...

Does anyone have one of these and willing/able to answer a few questions I have? I bought one just for the hell of it and because it was only a few pounds.

Miraculous waterproof paint recommended by Paul Sellers

Just watched a YT ad for a brush applied, clear, waterproof paint and it's more than miraculous......so much so that I clicked on the link to take me to the manufacturer. Scrolled down and amazed to find Paul Sellers' twin (Turner, M) has given it 5 stars! Wow, I must buy it! 😆 not sure if this...

    Walnut tree

Morning all, Last night's gale force winds brought down our 40-odd year old walnut tree. It's quite sad as it was a lovely tree...only upside is that at least I don't now have to watch the squirrels get EVERY nut EVERY year. Any thoughts as to what I could/should do with it?

Guaranteeing building work - how long?

Hi all, Following a ‘random’ pub group discussion the other day its left me wondering about how long should a ’one-man band’/single tradesman guarantee their work? I’m not talking about large/medium or even small building constructions (ie extensions etc) but jobs like small garden walls...

Replacement fence for record power TSPP250

Any takers please? I posted this on the ‘tools’ forum but had no responses…… Hi all, I‘ve posted a few things about my machine previously. I’m generally happy with it (suits my needs anyway) and have put up with the initially broken/repaired fence for a few years now but it’s only now that...

Replacement fence for record power TSPP250

Hi all, I‘ve posted a few things about my machine previously. I’m generally happy with it (suits my needs anyway) and have put up with the initially broken/repaired fence for a few years now but it’s only now that I’ve thought about doing something about it for good. Has anyone changed theres...

Fence upgrade to ‘cheap’ Screwfix Titan thicknessor/planer

I bought one of these a few years ago because of the price, the limited space I have and the need for occasional use only. As anyone else who has one will testify that the fence is not good (potential understatement there) but, hey, you get what you pay for! Anyway, just came across this YT vid...

    How old is this roof?

Thought I’d share this with you…... Mate of mine bought a lovely bungalow 11 years ago and, as I transpires, has suffered numerous roof leaks throughout that period. Having identified certain ‘issues’ I’ve ended up giving him a hand to reroof certain sections. Here‘s 2 photos taken yesterday...

Removing upper bag of dust extractor

Hi All, A friend of mine came over to have a look at my modified 2hp setup that uses a combination of a very efficient cyclone (for the larger dust) and extracts the very fine dust to the outside air (very much away from any neighbours etc). My original extractor had the motor housing somewhat...

TSPP250 table saw: Anyone tell me what this is for.....

Hi all, I really like this saw but I have it in bits at the mo to finally sort out the ‘pull’ blade operation once and for all as it’s never been aligned properly (by the way I’ve cracked it). Anyway, decided to take it to bits completely and give it a good overhaul/clean out etc. With regard...

Hi, Just bought an older record power table saw tspp250 and although the basic machine is sound (I think) its in many many many pieces as well as missing some I'm thinking. Anyone able to provide any assistance/info especially in relation to the sliding table? Many thanks, Dave

Metabo bas260. Blade off when reversed and bearing issue

Hi, I'm a newbie here and to bandsaws. I've bought a supposed new machine and although I have tracked it by hand and all seems ok including running it electrically the blade will not stay on the wheels if it is hand-turned backwards (only a 1/3 of a wheel turn).....you may be thinking why turn...
