    Roy Sutton basic spindle moulding

I have watched this video in full on youtube many times, I think the copy right owners are very hot on youtube and any posted content is taken down in a week or so. If you keep checking I am sure you will find it. I am not sure what is a " old Myth " ??, everything on roy suttons video is just...

    Planing, do you use pushbocks?

They are talking about a push block which has a lip at the end, they are different to the ones shown in orbital bobs photo which are just pads, and these are what I am talking about. Using this type means passing your hands over the cutter block without protection and moving the bridge guard out...

Moving a big table saw on my own

I would hire a pallet truck, it will probably come on a pallet anyway and as others have said lay sheets of ply down over grass and steps and you will find it fairly easy, most important thing it to take your time and think what you are doing. I think it is better to move machines on your own...

    Planing, do you use pushbocks?

USING PUSH STICKS OR PADS IS DANGEROUS !!!! This is a very bad idea and bad practice , sadly to much watching american youtube gives people the wrong idea, you should just use your bare hands in conjunction with a properly set bridge guard , as the bridge guard always covers the cutter block ...

    wadkin JTA restoration

Mark, really enjoying your thread as always. You really are a restoration pro!!. I have also been very disappointed with these rust remover chemicals and really never seem to work very well. I think the best way is to get the rust off by mechanical methods then just fine coats of fine oil to...

    Panel Saw haulage Cost, Firm?

A Panal saw sounds big ??. sending by pallet is risky and you have to rely on the ebay seller packing and fixing it properly, sometimes I have offered extra money to the seller to pack properly, well worth it to avoid damage. IMO best way is to hire a luton truck with tail lift and do it your...

24" Drum sander or pad sander

I have both in my workshop, of course the pad sander or sad pander as they are often known are fantastic machines , very cheap to buy as no one wants them or more to the point do not understand them. It would be my choice. As robin says, a great step up from the hand held.

    J. Sagar Machines - Paint Question

All sagars would have been grey, with white lettering which was very common at the time, its hard to give a exact ral colour, sagar was brought out by wadkin in 1956 and all assets went to wadkin green lane but the company continued to trade as part of the wadkin group for some years. I hope...

HVLP spraying of MDF / Poplar - primer?

Hi Mike, yes you do have to dilute down as its very high solids, you will notice how heavy the tin is, you will need to mix the tine with a stick as all the solids sink to the bottom. It depends on your spray equipment but i normally do about a third, may be abit less than that. Its very fast...
