*SOLD* Harvey HW110LGE-30 Table/Cabinet Saw *SOLD*

Up for grabs is my Harvey HW110LGE-30 Table/Cabinet saw. This is a fantastic bit of kit but unfortunately, due to downsizing I am having to sell up. Included in the sale is a mobile base to make moving around the workshop much easier. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the base! Asking...

    Help identifying a Chuck

I've managed to find an old eBay listing for an axminster chuck and jaws that looks exactly the same as mine so I think that settles it. Big thanks for the help! =]

    Help identifying a Chuck

Hi everyone. I'm extremely new to wood turning but fancied it for a while. I've recently moved house and set up a 10 x 12 shed which was originally for storage with the end goal it being a workshop. Well I got impatient and I've managed to section off enough of it so I now have a 4ft x 12ft...

How to use a stacked dado?

Ordinarily I would (and have in the past) but my router table isn't anywhere near as solid as my table saw and it is difficult to manage massive scaffold boards on it. Turns out the dado did a plenty good enough job though =]

How to use a stacked dado?

Thanks again everyone. The dado stack only has 1 purpose for the time being. I am making some ticket rails from old scaffold boards. essentially I am only cutting 3mm deep but the width of the cut is going to be 150mm. The total length of all the wood being cut is also about 60ft which is...

How to use a stacked dado?

Thanks a lot! I bought this one specifically as I knew it would fit my saw (excalibur). I also have the table insert that fits the blades perfectly. I figured this was how you used it but wanted to make sure. I'm guessing you space the blades teeth as evenly as possible? Thanks again, Tom

How to use a stacked dado?

Ello people. I've just recently took delivery on one of these... http://www.amazon.co.uk/8-inch-Stacked- ... =dado+8%22 However I've never used one before! How do I go about "stacking" it? Where do the spacers/chippers go etc? Sorry if it's a simple question but when it comes to power...

    Domino resale value?

Thanks for the input everyone. It would appear you have twisted my arm :P Now all that's left is the age old question.... 500 or 700? I am mostly working with old scaffold boards like this... And turning them in to this sort of thing... I will also be working a lot with pallet wood. I...

    Domino resale value?

Ello people. I'm currently building all new units for my shop (Greengrocers, not a work"shop"!). I've made sure I bought the proper tools for the job and progress is happening nicely. I am sure a domino would make my life a hell of a lot easier but it is a lot of money. I will be looking at...

Record BS350S 14" Bandsaw - Can it take smaller blades??

Thanks for the input everyone. I cantacted Record today to ask about blade sizes and also where I could get my hands on one. They said it would be possible to run a smaller blade and the thing to watch out for was indeed the side bearings. The rear bearing will protrude far enough to touch...

Record BS350S 14" Bandsaw - Can it take smaller blades??

Ello people. I'm looking at buying a bandsaw with larger capacities. I'm after a deeper throat and have landed on the Record BS350S after reading some reviews (unless anyone would like to recommend anything else?) The question is. I will be doing some pretty tight work which would require at...

People who have no respect for your work...

Do any of you find that people just don't appreciate how much time and effort you put in to your work? Basically by treating it like rubbish... While it's nothing amazing. I built this bread stand for my shop... Now within a day of all my staff and my suppliers going "ooooh! that looks nice...
