    Fancied doing some turning after a long break and Found an off cut of a old yew branch in the wood box here is the finished item made mostly using a roughing gouge and sorby hollowing tool finish is 3 coats of sanding sealer and 2 coats of spray lacquer its about 170mm high and 140mm across the top

    Made this box for my partner for her special birthday The wood is pod mahogany It's made from 3 pieces 20mm thick The kingfisher is inlaid with black and gold mother of pearl and abalone shell
