    countersink bits

Afternoon folks, Looking to buy a good combined drill bit and countersink, maybe a set if I find a decent one. Fed up with the cheap versions where the c/s slips up the bit when drilling so any recommendations for a good quality make? Cheers, Graham

Hi Gaz, Theres an organisation called Scottish Wood, based just outside Dunfermline who are well worth a trip to stock up. They are all about sustainable timber supplies and have a good range of kiln dried stuff for sale ( all sourced from a 50 mile radius of the mill). The guy who runs it...

    Alarms etc at Lidl

Hi Folks, Just noticed Lidl have a range of alarms at what seems like silly prices. Probably not Fort Knox spec but might add another anti scum measure for a few quid. Would post a link if I knew how to  Have a look at the Lidl site for more info. Cheers, Graham

    Record DX5000

Hi Guys, Ok, after much thought and deliberation i have elected to go for the Dx5000. It solves the dust issue with an "out of the box" solution. Dust Extractor? (sorry......)

Thanks for the pic Barry. Can you explain it please...think i'm right in saying the two stacked filters are the Donaldsons? Not too sure about the single black one though. So the air is sucked in and "pushed" into the filter, this obviously removes the size of particle the filter is rated for...

    Dust Extractor? (sorry......)

Thanks for the info guys, The budget does not include the piping as a kind mate who works as a heating/ventilation draughtsman has mysteriously over-estimated for a job or two which required 4" galv ducting so that helps. Interesting link to the donaldson filters...will look into it. Will keep...

Thanks for the prompt responses. Davy the garage is used for the family car, assorted pushchairs and other wee one's paraphenalia so i'd really like to keep the fine dust to a minimum. Adam hadn't really thought about converting a floor standing job but might be well worth a closer look Any...
