    router, help please

btw, since its looking increasingly likely that theres no fix for the erbauer, what would be the power requirement to drive the cabinet door bits? would the 1500W silverline manage it in anyone's expert opinion? ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002 ... e=&seller= )

    Which planer/thicknesser?

in relation to the aluminium beds; i got a second hand elektra beckum and the beds seem sturdy enough, its a combination machine and changing over is a bit annoying but managable. as for getting "eaten alive", i have it in a shed and its never got wet, but the cutter block is getting rusty-must...

    mitre saw, hitachi

Thanks everyone for your input. The metabo was looking the most likely ...but then a second hand elektra beckum came up locally for fifty quid. Its the kgs331 model, i dont think it can do trenching-if anyone could confirm or refute this it would be a help! thanks

    mitre saw, hitachi

thanks dutch.what im using now (b&q pro performance) is awful loud And refuses to cut a square end! mar mite, thats exactly what i was sceptical about with the evo; its hard to imagine a blade cutting steel and still being fit to do a clean accurate cut in wood

    mitre saw, hitachi

thanks for the replies. To be honest i ruled out the evolution brand altogether after seeing their "fury" tabe saw in b&q, it looked very unsturdy and inaccurate. but checked a few videos of the mitre saw u mentioned and it seems a Lot better. Any Hitachi c8fse or metabo kgs216m owners out...

    mitre saw, hitachi

Hello, hoping to get a bit of advise on sliding mitre saws. Has anyone got much experience of the hitachi c8fse? it seems to be at a very good price (£200-215) but the motor is significantly less powerful than others of its cutting capacity. (1050W) It seems to have terrible reviews on the...

    woodworm solution ?

Dia daoibh, Thanks for all the responses! I thought i posted the reply last night but it doesn't seem to have worked.. Nev-you hit precisely the two points i was going to make! Guitar string sounds like the perfect choice if you have a few lying around. Also I have been strongly advised to NEVER use the wire held in hands, i.e. without handles!! The old man who told me said he personally witnessed a student...
