    A quickie on festool guide rails

    Clamps are a must, if you have the budget get the quick clamps so much nicer to use. if you are cutting sheet goods get the 2.7m rail it is a pain joining rails and then taking them apart again

    Vertical or angled would be fine depends where you have something to transfer the load like an internal wall or a binder. I would like to see two over a 8m run

    Has anyone had dealings with SIP customer service?

    I am waiting for a sollution to some issues I have with an SIP product and the retailer tells me they have phoned Dan Hudson at sip many times but as of yet what is needed, does not seem to be forthcoming Have you had good service, when there have been issues with your sip?

    The itech is not the same at all it may look the same with a passing glance but the itech is not the same quality I have first hand experience and have one sitting on my drive awaiting collection by s&s as I write this.. do not buy the itech machine

    I bought the axminster version of this saw it is somewhat agricultural and may benefit from a larger motor but it does what it says on the box and needed no adjustment right out of the box, it also has a three year guarantee the aditonal cast tables that you can buy as an extra are well...

    Brand new drill press tripping circuits!

    If its new or under warranty then as above contact Axminster they will get it sorted,if there is no warranty then I would check the capacitor

    Problem with pillar drill slipping - suggestions welcome.

    The axminster radial arm drill has two bolts that pinch two bars that are part of the motor mounting plate. loosen these two bolts and use a suitable lever to move the whole assembly rearward to tension the belt and tighten the bolts

    The display at nuneaton was not generating anywhere near enough sales to justify the amount of retail space it occupied axminster just sold about 5 pallets of festool gear from their ebay site.

    I bought an 01332 itech table saw off scott and sargent among the many faults was the fence, which moved towards the blade no matter how carefully you tightened the lever. and s&s were not in the slightest bit interested..
