    Bevel edge chisels

So I'm looking to get a better set of bevel edge chisels but don't have a fortune to spend. Looking for people's views on the whether Narex chrome manganese chisels are better than MHG chrome vanadium chisels. Or any other ideas on a decent set of chisels that don't cost the earth. Thanks in...

    Dust collector confusion

Ok, so I ordered my SIP 01929 dust collector which arrived next day and unusually for me I looked through the instruction manual! Here's where the confusion arises. It says twice in separate places that the "dust" collector should only be used to collect chips and shavings and not dust! So it...

SIP 01929 Dust Extractor - Bags?

Hi guys, Just done a search for the SIP 01929 Dust Extractor on here and I see a few people have them so hoping someone can answer me a question before I buy one. One site I've seen them for sale on talks about paper bags which are available for them but others sites seem to have no mention of...

    NVR switch buzzing

Hi Guys, Thanks for the replies. The switch only buzzes when it is on at the wall but the machine isn't running. When I switch it off at the wall the buzzing stops. It is a 2 button type switch not a rotary. The Bandsaw is the SIP 10inch saw if that helps anyone. Thanks again.

    NVR switch buzzing

Hi all, Probably a silly question from a newbie, but should an NVR switch on a bandsaw buzz when the machine is switched off? It doesn't always and if you wiggle the buttons it comes and goes. Probably nothing to worry about, just thought I'd seek the wisdom of you guys. Thanks in advance. Andy

A little diversion thats now snowballing out of control

Very nice looking planters there Vinny, very similar to something I've been considering knocking together. Can I be cheeky and ask how much you sell them for? Cheers.

Hi guys, anyone any opinions on the Ryobi RBS5518? Seems to have a reasonable spec but is it up to much? Thanks in advance. Walks

    Bandsaw

I like the look of the Charnwood W711 8" Bench Top Bandsaw. It's the smallest of their range but from what I understand they're supposed to be quite good.

    Bandsaw

Hi guys, I'm in the process of building a small workshop just for doing woodwork as a hobby. I'm looking for some advice about bandsaws. I don't have a huge budget and like I say it's only for occasional hobby use but I don't really want to throw money away on rubbish. Any ideas about which...
