Does 20 sheets of MDF qualify for a wholesale order?

Is it worth me approaching some manufacturers (e.g. medite) for 20 sheets of mdf or would that amount be too small for them to bother with?

    Green Oak for Door Frame?

I would not use green oak for a door frame, it will of moved so much by the time your hung your door let alone after it's dired out a bit. Seasoned or dried Oak would be fine but if you are painting it I would go with a cheaper wood.

    Mdf comparison

Hello. I usually use medite trade mdf for inbuilt furniture (mrmdf if I need to shape it or in bathrooms etc) however I've seen there are different 'grades' of mdf. Has anyone used a medite pro or can make a comparison with other manufacturers boards? I really want to know if there is any...

    track saw setup

Thank you everyone. It's titan saw, I run on makita tracks. I have to say for the price I think it's fantastic and it's done a lot of work. I've managed to get it parallel and toed it in slightly with a little 'light' persuasion (hammer)

    track saw setup

On a track saw should the blade be parallel with the track or have a slight angle? My blade it slightly angled away from the track so it's defecting the blade and I get burn marks and a none straight cut. I don't seem to be able to get it parallel I don't have enough adjust on it.

I would have to check with my insurance I suppose. Even if it was free would I still not be liable? It's for my kids school so it was going to be heavily reduced rate. I've had a read though EN1176 and it's not that difficult to comply with and if it's a case of getting the annual inspection to...

Bespoke doors and Part Q of building regs

And yet you can get softwood external property doors from a number of suppliers. I also find it amusing to have a super strong front door and then around the back have some large bifold doors which would take about 5 seconds to smash and walk through.

Bespoke doors and Part Q of building regs

I know it's not a proper answer but BC will not care. They are too busy/lazy/lack the knowlage to look at door construction, they will check you have toughened glass where needed and that's about it.
