Many thanks. I had Assumed that there was some technical magic in these products, never thought it might be that simple. Definitely need those pennies for the lucky. 😀
I’m new to seasoning my own wood. I’m fortunate in being able to access supplies of various green wood, some may have been felled a couple of years but never logged. I’ve come across 2 products, Chestnut End Seal and Osmo End Sealing Wax. Any thoughts on using these or other products you would...
We have used IKEA mattresses for years and generally found them to be really good. However i recently changed to an Emma King size on recommendation of a friend, and it is even better. They are currently on a great offer too, around £475 for a King. You need to let it come up to size for a few...

I’m another Limerick exile. Living near ish to Cardiff for the past 30 odd years. Just getting started into wood turning. Have bought most of the kit I need via this forum. Always great advice here and a mine of information on pretty much any topic and not just wood or metal work!
I had one of these which was generally ok and yes they are flimsy. Good advice above re the base. However should you get a significant snow fall, perhaps 2 inches or above remove it quickly from the roof, my roof got really bent inwards due to the added weight which was then impossible to...
My Wickes wet and dry has seen me admirably through one and a half house renovations ( the second one was only refurbish about half the house. My trusty Wickes is still glowing strong. It’s noisy, very functional and cheap.
