    Thanks Steve, The chisel is fitted correctly and secured with the pinch bolt. And the drill bit has has also been fitted into the chuck, allowing a gap for waste to travel up. Once the chisel and drill bit are secure screeching can be heard where the drill bit is rubbing above the cutter part...

    Bandsaw Identification..................

    Can anyone tell me about my Bandsaw? Its a Willow, supplied by J Carr of Boston, Lincolnshire. I would like to know more about it, but cant find anything on Google :( Its about 1950's, and hope someone might have some info on it. Thanks in advance :)

    Thanks to all who have replied, but I think the Gold medal goes to Drillbit (Toby). Now why dont Record do a video like Metabo. At the begining of the video it shows the lever underneath that has to be engaged by the dust shoot Which NEVER came with my thicknesser :evil: and no mention of it...

    I bought a PT260 and a Record FM25 Morticer last christmas. As both machines are in France its not really convenient to take them back to my local dealer. The PT260 thicknesser works great, but when I switch the dial to use the planer, it does not work. The instructions state Raise thicknessing...

    Cyclists in lycra, they do my head in. Every weekend I go to the local town for breakfast at a cafe and they seem to want to cycle 2-3 abreast so they can have a chit chat, even though there is a cycle lane that "I" have paid for as a tax payer. And their attitude sucks. :twisted: :twisted:

    Mailee- he sure is, I've known him since I was born and we share the same birthday :-) Lons- you got a point there :-/ Disco-monkey- I think it still works. The large oak press still goes up and down. What you can't see in the picture is the huge granite press which takes up half the workshop...

    The machine was not on at the time, im a bloke, cant multitask and put the camera on selftimer at the same time #-o Bono doesn't get a tan like that :wink: The Split has worked hard over the last 4 years, taking building materials, timber and even my machinery over. So I bought a VW T25...
