I'm not sure it is Art Nouveau, more Arts & Crafts & researching that area may come up with an answer. Slinger

    Computer Advice for iMac

I'm not fully computer savvy, but I do use my mid 2007 iMac every day & it really is a help to me. I've suddenly developed a 'whirling dervish' coloured spinning wheel. It comes up frequently & on this site it has slowed up my scrolling down the page etc. I've got masses of memory...

Japanese woodworking and hand tools video

I thought the video and the workmanship was excellent and to class it as 'second rate junk' is unbelievable. Slinger

    Happy Birthday

Benchswayze, I also did some time at Vernon, 54-56, at the time of Buster Crabbe, so after learning a few tricks there, you would have to catch me first. Slinger(no 's' on the name)

    Most cost effective benches/shelves/storage?

For adjustable shelving try, Spur Shelving in North Devon (they have a web site). They manufacture them on-site. I have used them for some 40 years & have always been pleased with their products. They do various size brackets to fit their uprights & they are very well made. Slinger

Narrow strap / desk hinge for clothes horse?

The clothes horses I remember from my youth (a long time ago now), used chair webbing. Very simple, easy to fit as they were just screwed/tacked on but were very foldable. Slinger

    Gorilla Gripper

Thanks to everyone. Most grateful, but although it looks a good bit of kit, no one has yet bought one so I have no member's personal experience to call on. Will mull it over for a couple of weeks, but should I decide, I will relate if it is worth it. Thanks once again
