Just wanted real peoples opinion on these, ease of use, etc. Seen them on show with demonstrators, they make it look as easy as but they're demonstrators at the end of the day, what are real peoples experience of them ? Thanks in Advance.

Turners Retreat and Oakenden gets my vote

I made the trip over to Ockenden Timber a few weeks ago and I was very impressed, it's also a long drive for me but at least I now feel comfortable ordering from them online after seeing there setup, products and showrooms.

Anybody been to the turners retreat spring event today ? How was it ?

Just a quick one ....... How does ebony behave on the lathe ? I've only done hand carving using ebony and know it's hard graft, just wondering how it behaves on the lathe before thinking of a new project. Thanks in advance.

Lathe now re-assembled and positioned. Robert Sorby Tools ordered and other bits and pieces of course, the slippery slope has already started :?
