Hello all and a bit of bad news. John Berkeley died this morning. He had a fall on Wednesday and lost conciousness. He was taken to hospital where they found he had a bleed on the brain. He never recovered consciousness and died this morning. Just thought I'd let you know. Regards. Paul
I have always rated Axminster, mainly because of their backup service - and the brilliant staff. That changed somewhat when I saw in their last catalogue, that the prices had increased dramatically with no offers on existing stock. I then needed a small switch for an expensive worklamp that I...
I have always rated Axminster very highly but buying from China is a pain when you need a spare part. I need an on/off toggle switch for my LED light (which broke when it fell off the lathe when I was turning a big out of balance log). I don't know the cost yet but it is going to take 20 weeks...

I've also seen it and it is one of the very best I've seen. Very informative and interesting too. It is brilliant and really well worth buying.

PS - That's a tenner Nick (I am joking it really is excellent)
Many thanks to all for your help. I see Mark Hancock has helped too - I didn't think of this until I watched his excellent demonstration at the Tudor Rose Woodturners in Daventry about 10 days ago. I learn't an awful lot from him and clearing my shavings using the compressor was just one of...
I'm after an air compressor that will blow shavings from my woodturned hollow forms, inflate my car tyres from time to time and if things work out, do some airbrushing. I also need one that is reasonably quiet as my 'workshop' is about 3 ft from my neighbours' house. I also don't want to spend a...
