    What's the best way to cut wood straight with no TS?

    cut wood, stright, and accurately with no table saw.. im not looking to cut anything to extream, mostly cutting timber down to size and maybe some plywood sheets (maybe). Any techniques would be appreciated?

    So.... In the last few weeks iv embarked on a small bit of woodwork - iv (almost) build a bookcase, its very simple and will be held together with dowels and glue. Heres the thing, its built from timber (redwood?) from B&Q, some of the timber is slightly warped, I don't think its too much...

    Cheers both of you for your advice... AndyT - I had not actualy considered venerred Mdf, seems like a solid plan, also seems to be quite afordable too. Would you recomend MDF over Ply? Also, simple is good - so in that case do you have any recomendations regarding Joints, dowels or nails...
