EasyScribe - has anyone used one?

Hi I have just bought an easyscribe from Axminster tools as I was looking for a lockable compass but they seem to be avoided for higher profit margin solutions. On first look it was very plastic based and not very robust. My first use went well but as I am new to scribing I wondered how I would...

Fitting oak flooring under in situ skirting

Hello I am looking to lay 40m2 of engineered oak flooring on the ground floor of my house and I want to fit it under the skirtings. Although the skirtings are not special the rooms were plastered in the 1930's with the skirtings in situ so I expect it would cause a lot of damage if I tried to...

Hanging a External Oak door HELP

The original door sadly looks like it was cut with a jigsaw and it is one of the reasons I am replacing it. The other is that our dog decided to create a dog flap opening in the door while we were out so that made the desicion easier. I feel I will have to mark the door to the frame. Mark

    Bookcase project advice.

Ok, I did the Grooves (Dadoes) 8mm and 4mm on the center panels. All has gone well except when I tighten the sash clamps up on the top and bottom shelves it sends the carcass out of square by about 10mm. Does anyone have any good advice for keeping large (7') cabinets square when gluing up...

Quick Update. I have started this project and have built the main carcasses with dadoes in for the shelves to fit in to. How to cut sections for interlocking timber

I think at this early stage just a supplier of interlocking sections would suffice. I can't be too picky.
