Why? has it changed since I read it the first time.

    Gangs

Well I've just read it. "peer pressure made me do it, it's everyone elses fault but mine" just about covers it. Note that it didn't require reams of self indulgent back slapping either. Same old excuses its neither insightful or enlightening and certainly isn't "powerful, excellent and crystal...

    Inconsiderate neighbours. Arghhhhhh!

I had a similar problem, everyday up to 6 piles of dung, everyone round here but me has at least 2 cats ! I had tried everything to keep them away. Gave up in the end and bought one of these. http://www.contech-inc.com/products/scarecrow/ Not had to clean up once since.

how old are you and how many hours do you work

This is one of the main problems with being self employed - its not industry specific either. SteveB's advise is spot on the money, you can't have and do everything. If you're clearing that sort of cash get some help in, even if its just for a while to ease your load. Working flat out for...

    Advice - Built in cupboards

There have been some excellent alcove projects posted, mainly from MDF for the bedroom but the principle is the same have a search for "alcove" I attempted a similar project a few weeks back (its still in pieces in the spare room after my epic failure). IMHO you'll do much better building a...

    Getting 90 from a SCMS

I've got an erbauer ERB215SE SCMS, bought initially to do site work. Im having trouble getting it set at and maintaining 90 on it, something that is more noticeable now Im cutting wider boards and not just chopping the end off some 4x2s, is there a guide, tool or a jig could use to make life a...

    Help with awkward customer please.

Some of the problem might be the changes from the sketch, not just the under sink cupboard but the drawers on the right. Your sketch was nicely balanced, with everything inline - the actual work is very eclectic, the drawers may be a standard size but they don't line up any more. You have the...

    Bad wood??

Looks normal to me. At a guess your chisel isn't sharp enough an your breaking the wood rather than cutting it - still better than anything I managed to produce though

    Axi Dovetail Jig setup.

mmmarrggghhhh So frustrating - I tried a few more times, always +/- 1-2 mm. Tomorrow I think I'll have to make a jig up from MDF to set the DT jig on both the left and right side so I won't get twice the error when I rotate the front. Might even remove the 2 plastic stop and replace them with...

    Axi Dovetail Jig setup.

Ive had a different square out to check the 90s, so assuming the square is square. The jig seems fine but the timber was fractionally off - perhaps 1mm over the 8 inches. Checking my test cut, what seems to be happening is 1 side of the drawer is 1-2mm lower than the front, when I rotate the...

    Axi Dovetail Jig setup.

I know most of you don't approve but I've bought the DTJ. Im just having a little problem getting it setup correctly. What Im getting is an decent dovetail but it seem to be offset so the drawer front and side are at a slightly high, this seem to be exaggerated the wider the timber. 4inch not...
