I recently bought the Axminster - AWHBS350N, love it, very powerful, and you could afford the one higher, which is even more powerful. Great aftersales with Axminster of course.

If you are looking to spend £400-500 as the Draper is, I would look at the Axminster AWHBS350N Bandsaw or even the Axminster AWHBS400N Bandsaw, I just bought the AWHBS350N and it is very powerful and clean, love it.

I am looking for a bandsaw right now too, think I will get the AWHBS400N too, I had a Fox one that was awful, wouldn't cut 3/4" pine, so having a big 2hp saw will be great. I could probably easily get away with the model below to be fair, but after that Fox, I just want to be sure.

Ok, I haven't adjusted the bottom wheel, so that's all good. I think I have found the problem, or one of them. In the included picture you can see two screws, above and below the raising knob for the upper guide assembly, the upper one is just turning in its hole, and not tightening anything...

The new picture i have posted here says it all really, it must be the guide assembly. Surely that is very wrong? I have somewhat realligned it, the blade is no longer touching the plastic insert in the bench, but the upper guide assembly still looks very wrong, and moves a lot. Also there is no...
