It's pretty common for there to be screws all the way through the dishwasher door holding the front on - if you can't see any fancy bolts / brackets holding it on then this is most likely - there should be a slight gap between the door front and the actual dishwasher door allowing you to slide...
If you do a fair bit of 8x4's I'd agree with the Transit. As a bit of a curveball don't rule out a truck! I needed a work van with 5 seats (to do the school run etc.) and lumped for an L200 a while back - couldn't go back now, love it. Not great for 8x4's but they *can* go on the roof with...
Of course - thank you! This coupled with the base taking the force makes sense. Mind put at rest and I won't chuck all my standard blades in the bin then.
Yeah, I've seen the upsidedown scribe cut a fair bit too and always view it as highly dangerous - I much prefer a reverse cut blade...
Something that's been bothering me for a while... you know how most 'standard' jigsaw blades cut on the upstroke so you the the clean cut on the side you can't see? ...and then you can get the 'reverse' blades so you get the clean cut on the top? ...well, why would you ever want the 'clean'...
Cheers for the replies guys - kinda echoes my sentiments. Looking at the pic again I bet whoever put the floor in also trimmed the door without sorting the threshold and rain deflector. The deflector is *very* close to the bottom of the door. Watch this space! :-)
Afternoon all - I know this is probably more building work than woodwork but it involves wood and I figured you guys might help me overcome my current creativity block! :-) I have a customer who wants me to sort out their back step (see attached pic)... 'sort out' meaning "I'm not quite sure...
B&Q with a Tradepoint card seems to essentially be Screwfix... plus all the big stuff you can normally get at B&Q but at better prices... for some of it. Screwfix is closer to me though so I tend to use that. Now that there's a Toostation in Wickes though does that mean they'll have to align...
So I popped into my local Wickes today to buy some bent timber and found there was a Toolstation counter in there! It could have been there for months and I never noticed... are Wickes and Toolstation affiliated in some way? Can't find anything on the web about it. Competing with the B&Q /...
Ha! I just did the sword thing the other day - the boy wanted to build something in the workshop. I managed to talk him out of an actual working jet aircraft. We settled on swords for him and his little sister. Anything to get him off Minecraft for a bit! ...and I can confirm that carving a 'C'...
Yup, my thoughts too - cheers all for the comments! Considering they already turned down one job 'cause they found someone cheaper (and I wasn't that expensive) I wouldn't be heartbroken to lose this one. :)
So even though this is an *extra* door do you think it still needs to be a fire door? What if the bedroom door is already a fire door? (I doubt it is mind) I might play safe and get them to speak to building regs. Hate working in flats anyway. :-)
I've been asked to install a new door set in a flat (old Victorian building with 6 self contained flats - this one is on the top (3rd) floor) - this is a brand new door, not replacing an old door, going into a corridor to sub-divide the flat. Not sure why he wants it but it would effectively...
