I have a new larger capacity mitre saw and I can't justify two saws so reluctantly I'm selling this RAS that I bought from another forum member who kept it in tip top condition.

I've continued his tenure and kept it well, everything works, nothing is held together with cable ties or duct tape.

I've changed the blade to a new 60T Atkinson Walker industrial blade that made a difference to the cut and hasn't seen much work since. I've also added a Mr Sawdust table with iron bars in it to stiffen the top. Comes with a CMT dado cutting block.

I can include some of the extraction fittings i.e. the pipe on the blade guard and the hopper that catches dust sent backwards.

The top is two pieces of MDF with grooves routed in it, filled with steel bars which are fixed with epoxy before gluing the two pieces together with PVA. This is then topped with a sacrificial piece of 6mm ply screwed down with brass screws in case you catch one in use.

The top design is per Mr Sawdust, his book is included in the sale, he was a RAS guru and worked for DeWalt back in the 50s or 60s. The fence can be quickly swapped for any height fence in about 30 seconds.

£220 collection only from Todmorden/Hebden Bridge area of West Yorks.

Two hundred views but no takers, I want to get this shifted quickly so I'll list it on another forum for a couple of days then the bay, There is an inferior DW one on the bay now at £206 with a day to go and the blade alone cost me about 90 quid so I think £220 is fair :)

Ok Richard.

I shall correct that ebay statement, when I search for RAS a listing came up with £205 but when I clicked on the listing the price changed to £138, weird, but still 20 hours to go. No legs, table, Dado blade or posh new blade, and it has a broken handle and missing knob though. The Elu is intact, nothing broken or missing.

If it helps, I have family over near Whitby so can probably get it that far at some point if I partially dismantle the base.

Cheers

Hi Andy

Price seems very fair to me.

I might be coming to Leeds on Saturday, so that might be apt.

However, if not, Whitby might be ideal at some point.
I'll find out whats happening on Saturday and get back to you.

Thanks
Richard
