If you don't get the Axminster email here's what I recieved today:

We would very much like to invite you to our FREE hand tools event, Talking Tools, which is taking place here in the Guildhall, Axminster on Friday 25th (10am-4pm) and Saturday 26th March (10am-3pm).

PS. If you are not able to make it to the Guildhall in Axminster, we are also holding a mini version
of Talking Tools at our Nuneaton store on Saturday 2nd April. Click here for more information

I tried moving the mountain to get there, but can't make it. A lot of hand tool goodness and expertise concentrated in one place, and for free? A no brainer, if you can make it. Too bad about the noise makers like Bosch and Festoy, but you can't have everything... ;)

I may go down as it's just down the road, suppose I might as well see what all this hand tool fuss is about

If there is a good number going from here I'll get along for a meet up

The problem for me is that the annual Yandles outing follows on very shorty in April. Were I even to merely suggest to SWIMBO that the Ax HT event might be 'worth going to' :-" and then mention in the same breath that I'll be going to Yandles bun fight the following weekend(?) the chances of me surviving the encounter are slim to remote :(
If it's anything like the Rycotewood event last year, it will be worth going to, especially if you're a newcomer to the cordless side, but I'll probably pass and go to Yandles instead, which for me is a better show...and it's also free! - Rob

I think I may take the risk and see if I can get away with going to both!! Probably on the Friday as Saturdays are spoken for.

Rob, there is a weekend in between the 2 events, surely time enough during that weekend to amass sufficient brownie points to attend both outings 8-[

Quote from Rob Lee over at WoodNet, if anyone needs an extra incentive to go. (Take a camera, please...)

Terry's (designer) next design is in pre-production right now... we'll be taking it (and some other "stuff") to the "Talking Tools" shown in the UK in a couple of weeks....
