Hi,
I've bought a second hand Hegner multicut 2 variable speed saw, which I'm delighted with.
I notice that it says to drop some oil on the pivot points in the top and bottom arms from time to time.
My question is what type of oil do people recommend. I have some 3 in 1 oil and will use that if it's what you recommend.

Many thanks

3 in 1 oil or any similar brand has worked fine for me on my Hegner saw over the last 24 years so I would say use that. :)

Hi,
That's very useful, many thanks.
Also thanks for your useful YouTube videos on the Hegner saw, much appreciated 👍

Just for interest ................

The Polycut has 2 oil nipples one on each arm.

The oil required for the brass bushes in the arms is a K68 way type oil.

I really struggled to get this oil, tried all the oil suppliers and the ones that kept it wanted to sell me a 20L drum for a huge price!

Lots and lots of e-mails later I eventually found a supplier who would give me a sample.

What I ended up with was a 2L plastic container, gratis – free – for nothing!

Took a long time to get that smile off my face.
