I've just got my hands on a p pro clm 1500 tss saw.

Any tips on getting it set up nicely?

One would assume there are many blade vAriations available. I'm most likely to be using mdf, ply and softwood. What sort of blade should I be looking for please?

Well I don't expect it to be fantastic, but seems as it was free, I really can't complain.

I'll have a look at those blades thanks.

I expect you will find that it's a very useful saw and don't forget much depends on the operator.
Do the usual checks and get the wedge piece mentioned made up in ally, or at least write down the shape and sizes,
Which seems to address the only problems mentioned, and belts are still available.
Don't forget the cheapest little saw is £50 today, so you're not in a bad place with it.
I'd go for the fleabay blades and As you probably know, the 24 and 60 tooth blades should do the materials you mentioned.

Wedge piece? I've read the thread linked to (and others linking off that) but cant find mention of that.

I read somewhere that the wedge shaped piece forming part of the fence locking system had shattered,
and there were no parts available, I'll try and find it for you.

Thanks Rodders , I'm going to strip and clean the machine before use so ill copy that bit whilst I'm at it. It actually does a surprisingly good job of clamping.
