Greenlee made outstanding chisels at a time of high quality in both steel making and chisel making in the USA.
Those would be as good as or even better than the Stanley 750 series, and up there with makers like Union, Buck and Peck Stowe and Wilcox; and there isn't that much difference between them and the highly desirable Thomas Witherby and James Swan chisels.

I hope by now you have snaffled up these little beauties.

Going back to your original question there is absolutely nothing wrong with using firmers as bench chisels, be they bevelled or registered.

You may find some situations where the sides are too clunky but there are also a vast number of situations where a stout chisel that can be walloped is exactly what's called for - and having the right tool on hand will preserve you from the demonic voice that tries to persuade you to lay into a more refined tool.
