Morning (almost!)
Just looking for peoples experience with using gas struts when building storage beds. I'm aware that there are plenty of 'ottoman bed' fixings that are supposedly easier to mount however they also seem to have a larger number of moving parts and I'm not sure I can see the advantage of them over the more 'traditional' (for want of a better word) type whether fixed or adjustable and they are decidedly more expensive (everywhere not just at SGS).
Specialist Bed ones e.g Bed Hinges │ Bed Mechanism │ Locking & Non-Locking Brackets │ SGS
Regular Ones e.g. Fixed Force Gas Struts - Gas Struts
Also regarding the strut end fixings is there a benefit of using any specific types for this kind of build? End Fixings For Gas Struts in Plastic, Zinc Plated and Stainless Steel
Anyones experience, thoughts and general ponderings welcome here - think I've overwhelmed myself with choice!
Thanks
