    Organisation and workflow

@Spectric - I'm chaotic so I must be creative! I've found that you have to laugh, or you'll go mad! My wife and I (bless her) had 30 years of laughter, and that's how I carry on since I lost her last year. That was my 'annus horribilus', or summat like that.

    Wooden vice thread set

Pete, that is SOME threading going on! Wow! Not quite what I had in mind. I looked at the Lee Valley kits and, to be honest, I didn't really like the look of them. To all of the other people that have replied, some of the suggestions are great, some I couldn't find, but a THANK YOU to you all...

    Wooden vice thread set

@Inspector - I looked on Amazon but obviously used the wrong terminology as it came up with nothing. Just shows to go you! Thankyou, my wife used to be able to find stuff, just as you do. It's cheaper than the wooden one that I found, but the plastic makes it look awful. I'll still be buying it...

    Wooden vice thread set

I've looked on FB. It's quite a specialised item, nothing on Gumtree either. I'll leave it for a few days, just in case someone comes forward. There's no rush. If I have to bite the bullet and buy a set, at least I know where to look! Okay, practical it is, or even prudently hopeful! @ Duke...

    Wooden vice thread set

Has anyone got a 1 1/2" or 1 1/4" thread-making kit that I could buy please? I'm after both the tap and the die. I've found one online, but then thought about you folk on here that have all sorts of things. They are quite pricey new, but are the kind of things you buy and are almost a single...

    Bandsaw Issues?

I'd get a new blade from Tuffsaws for a start. What are you planning on cutting with it? Hardwoods? Logs? Just get a low tpi Tuffsaw for a start, it will stand you in good stead for thick wood, maybe 15mm 3tpi? My guess is that the blade supplied has a thick weld on it. blades supplied with...

And that is smaller than your old shop? It looks at least comparable, but you're the one that knows.

Watkins Tradesman planer/thicknesser any views or information?

If you click on the second photo, there is actually a video of the machine which clearly shows a square yell plate behind the fence.

    Axminster AC254 table saw

Has anyone in the shed got a saw at home that they could bring in and test-fit in the space? Just a thought.

Blow me! I've just asked you a question about the very same thing! Just ignore the question. Shame about the results. Any ideas about other sale openiings?

How are the sales doing at the 'makers place'? You haven't mentioned it for a while.

    paint finish

Are you certain it is a wood surface? Some kitchen cabinets have a plastic surface that is heat-shrink on to mdf. Just worth a check maybe?

Why are some router tables made up of cast iron but not others?

@Delaney - but that ebay offering won't remain at £102 with 3 days left to run, more like £300 - £400 when the auction closes.
