    Thicknesser

You're probably more likely to get spare parts for the Triton. With the Erbauer stuff you can't even get spare batteries!!!

    Cordless tools.

I believe they are chaining them up (series) as they specifically mention 54v.

    Cordless tools.

Lord. That advertising really is awful. "Reinventing how a current flows" ..ffs. That first video was next to useless, complete waste of time/effort/money. It just makes the brand look stupid. I don't know how these marketing people get employed. I wonder when they're getting to start knocking...

    TITAN TTB579PLN 204MM Planner thicknesser

You'd just be making life hard for yourself. Limited cutting capacity and an inconvenient setup. You'd be much better off spending the extra £100 and getting a Thicknesser IMO.

    Small planer/thicknesser

I may as well just go with the Clas Ohlson one with the decent fence in the first place. It appears that nothing is in stock though, not the planer or any of the spare parts

    Small planer/thicknesser

Although I'd like to have a nice big planer/thicknesser, I just don't have the space. So was going to pick up one of the small bench top ones like the Titan TTB579PLN 204mm. According to the specs, this has a 740mm table size, so about 350mm on each side of the blade. What would you say is the...

What did I do wrong? (Wood movement)

I don't have a planer, but this would be a good excuse to pick one up. Considering the boards are 1.6m in length, what kind of planer bed length would I need (or get away with)?

What did I do wrong? (Wood movement)

I assume that the whole thing can still twist even with cauls though? So I guess keep an eye on it using winding sticks, and if the clamped setup does begin to twist, clamp the whole thing down to a flat surface? Also, is it a good idea to keep the whole thing clamped up until you actually to...

What did I do wrong? (Wood movement)

Thank you for the replies. It wasn't left in direct sunlight, it was left in a garage with no windows. As for it getting hot in there, I've never really sensed it to be any hotter than outside, and as there are no windows and the door was shut the whole time, I don't think it would have been...

What did I do wrong? (Wood movement)

I wanted to create a worktop from a number of glued boards, so purchased some PAR pine (44mm x 95mm). The piece would be 1.6m long, and made from 6 boards glued up. Having recieved the timber, it looked pretty straight, and there wasn't much cupping when I placed a straight edge against it's...
