    Is it me

Hi thanks for the reply. The clamps are the same as the one in the bottom picture. It's not the top clamp I'm having trouble with but the bottom one, it flips over when I try to tighten it. Regards George

    Is it me

I had a scheppach sd16 scroll saw for crimbo. Up until now I have used it with big pinned blades. However, I now want to go a bit finer, so have tried fitting a fine pinless blade but I can't do it. The top clamp is no problem but I can't get it in the bottom. As soon as I try to nip up th grub...

    Hegner single speed

Hi all, Haven't been on here for a while. I did have an excalibur ex16 which I loved using, but I abused with heavy woodwork and it final gave up on me. I should put some effort into fixing it, but I'd just bought a lathe and turning was my new passion. Anyway I'm missing sc roll sawing, so I...

    A fish pot

Been turning for a year now and this is my latest creation. A lidded box with a shoal of fish burnt onto the side with my pyrography iron. The wood is lime and the size of the box is roughly3 x 3 inches. Thanks for looking.

    Pyrography

I use a Peter Childs machine and find it very good. I recommend using spoon tips. Never tried the razor tip machine so I can't comment on that.

    dead scroll saw

Hi thanks for the suggestions. So far I have removed the plate on the opposite side of the motor and I am able to turn the mechanism by moving the blade end linkage up and down. Nothing seems to be jammed, and no bits of wood stuck in the linkages, above or below. I was just about to take the...

    dead scroll saw

Hi, can any of you experienced scroll sawers help a man in a fix. I have an Excalibur16 which I have had for 4 years with no problems. However, today I cut a couple of pieces of wood but when I went to do another the saw was dead. It has power and the fuse is ok. I have removed the blade and...

Very sad news. I am 65 years old but somehow I didn't discover Leonard until 5 years ago, since then he bought me immense pleasure.

    pen turning

Hi, I have purchased a 7mm pen turning kit from a well known supplier and made a few slimline pens. I am enjoying making them because they are quick projects to fit in between other duties. Anyway, I would like to start making some of the other pen styles I have seen. I have noted that most...
