You can get both sheet and self-adhesive tape from Axminster - do a search for slick low-friction material

I am not sure where in west yorks you are but these people have been useful to me- they either sell offcuts, or cut what you want and the prices seem reasonable for the bits and pieces that I have had in the past. http://www.barkstonltd.com/information/find-us/leeds

It is cash only below a certain value- £15 or £20. I just popped in, the cut to size quote service seems pretty expensive for small items.

Ebay is another option which may be easier.

This stuff will be available from any uPVC accessory supplier, there will be several near you supplying the window industry in your locality. 5M long x 200mm 10mm thick £14

That flat board was one of the main stocks at both my last 2 places of work (10 years experience in plastics) and I can tell you that they are never flat, and often not co-planar either - they are made to very low tolerances by simple hot extrusion through a former; widths are extruded +/- 5mm and thickness of +/- 2mm, additionally with edges that are often thicker again, almost like a lip. I would never consider using it as a sacrificial face for a table saw, there's too much possibility for error.

I would personally spend the extra and buy that UHMW from rutlands - that stuff is extremely hard wearing, and can be drilled and tapped for light duty attachments.
