It's all too common to hear about things that go wrong, for whatever reason. Not so common when things go well - not just once, but twice.
I've been getting back into carving lately, specifically some of the Jacobean styles coming from Peter Follansbee which relies for a large part on the sizing and geometry of gouges plunged into the wood.

This has meant sourcing a few new gouges and I've been buying Swiss-made Pfeil tools. For this G & S in Penrith have been outstanding.

Fifty quid spent with them qualifies for free delivery..... easy to do with a couple of Pfeil gouges.
Not only that, their prices for these tools are the cheapest I have seen by a good margin.
The icing on the cake is that the free delivery to the middle of Wales is NEXT DAY. It's not a one-off, it has now happened twice.
Brilliant service and well recommended.
