Made a wall unit however need to hang it, I have seen lots of people use small plates where usually its fixed with 1 screw in wall and 2 screws in the item which you need to hang.
However I have searched all ebay and can't find what they are called or where can they be bought.
anyone knows what they are called exactly?

Thanks.

Ugly !! -- surely that nice shelf unit could be hung with hidden brackets

You can buy plates in matched pairs, one to attach to the wall and the other upside down on the back of the item to be hung, which just slot together. I'm not sure if there is a specific name for them.

You don't need any fixings for something like that spice rack, just cut keyhole slots in the back of the unit.

eBay number 181181842612

I call them 'Sky-hooks'

Similar principle to French Cleats!

I have had a china display cabinet hanging on them for twenty-five years. Sound as a bell.
Cheers....

Just before I had my operation the other week, I had to put up an art exibition which had some pretty hefty frames and as part of the security measures I had to use these specialist fixings. Pretty easy to install and able to take a fair bit of weight, but most important invisible once fitted:
