Hello

I have designed this bedroom. The bed is going to be made out of 3cm american walnut. (Then I will insert two motorised birch bed fittings + latex mattresses in the void)

The wardrobe will have walnut faced chipboard, + 4mm mirrors.

The wardrobe carcass will be 16mm chipboard.

The doors will be hung using Vorfront Silent VF-80 = 80kg sliding door hardware from Hafele.

Would like any criticisms on the above.

Thanks -

Alex

Alex,

I guess it depends on whether you use sheets/blankets or a duvet but making a bed like that with sheets and blankets would drive me nuts - constantly barking one's knuckles.

i agree with chris but would also say, that getting in and out of bed will
be a pain in the knees, thighs and calves.

presumably you are going to put books on the outside?

before you build it, go and try out a couple of beds with flat outside
surfaces, and see if you like them. also major waste of space.

paul
