I expect many of the contributors to the hand tool forum will already have found their way to an excellent website ,http://wkfinetools.com/index.asp, run by Wiktor Kuc.
For anyone who has not, or who has not been there for a while, I thoroughly recommend a new article which has appeared there recently. In it, the author takes on the mind boggling challenge of recreating a C19th style wooden brace, with its dozen compound curved chamfers, to take a salvaged and repaired button chuck and rosewood pad.
Who would be crazy and skilled enough to embark on such a task? :?
How could he do it, with only an uncontrollable dog for company?
As he might say, CLICKITY CLICK!! =D> =D>
