Hi timber experts
Purchased a Tunbridge ware box, (late Victorian) needs a bit of TLC.
The main exterior veneer is rosewood.
Can anybody come up with suggestions for the interior veneer.
The colour in the photos is a reasonable representation.
There are patches of very fine flecks.
The brown streaks/grain are quite fine.
There is a tiny patch of sapwood (top left).
The timber appears quite dense and has taken a good polish.

Thanks for any ideas John

By the look of the little section of sapwood visible in the top left corner by the hinge in image 002 I suspect one of the Pau Rosa (redwood) Brigade.

The bits underneath and behind are all Walnut.
