looks strange :?

The head stock tail stock and tool rest are at the back of the stand :?: , looks like you have to lean over to use it :? you would be forever clearing the wood shavings from the top as it cant fall on the floor

And would be unable to get full travel of chisel handles :?

Not come across that make before either , very odd

What do you think :D ???
 
I looked for that lathe and found it interesting. Have a look here to see it being used as a copy lathe using a sample.

I stopped watching after 3 mins to scary for me :shock:

Is that chisel thing really floating about and giving massive chatter , looks like a potential accident about to happen
 
I think the 'strange' layout was because the lathe was primarily intended as a copy lathe with associated jigs rather than hand turning.
