I just heard on WoodTalkOnline that John Lucas who wrote the Wood Shop Demos website has passed away. I'm sure many of you have seen his website. I didn't look at it often but I've seen it a few times over the years. He always seemed to have attractive female helpers which I thought was amusing.

If you haven't seen the site, have a look. It's a bit of a strange layout. Much like a blog but written in raw HTML with little formatting.

They say that they go in 3's, first Niki and now John. Before I bought a tool like Incra or Festool etc, one of my first port of calls was always his site to see if he had done a review, which he often had.

I was always envious of his stack of Festool systainer's which seemed to contain every tool in their catalogue.

Another line of woodworking information which will be missed.

Cheers

Mike

Me too.

This is indeed sad news.

Shame.

p.s. I always wanted helpers like that too!

I am also sorry to hear that news too as I regularly read his website. I had been thinking this was imminent from his recent postings and his previous illness. He will be sadly missed by many I think.

Yeah I read this the other day on the Festool owners group what a shame his website is great lots of interesting stuff on there.
