Redwood burl poaching

I just listened to a really depressing article on Radio 4's pm show about Redwood burl poaching, it should be at about the 45 minute mark in here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b044gp6h

I've been lucky enough to walk among giant redwoods - the idea that we might drive them to extinction for the sake of some cheesy souvenirs is too sad for words.

I never realised that people poached timber from forests :shock:

saw it on the wood whisperer face book page. crazy that for a few hundred they killed a few thousand worth of timber tree.
