Hi everyone, this has probably been spoken about on here before but as i'm new here i hope you will bear with me.
I have my 40th birthday coming up later this year & some family wants to get me something nice. I really fancy the Ray Iles a5 coffin sided smoother as i need a good smoothing plane. Anybody have this plane or have any comments on it.
I have a few Lie-Neilson planes which are very nice but i always fancied a wood infill plane. If it turns out that a wood infill plane is to unstable due to changes in temp & humidity, i will prob go for a Clifton or Lie-Neilson again.
Any comments much appreciated.
