I am putting together a table of timber yards, with information from members who have actually visited the yards. Can you PLEASE HELP with information about G & S Specialist Timber (Cumbria) for TIMBER or BLANKS? (NOT for tools)

Will they deliver?

Do they have online ordering?

Are prices displayed at the yard?

Do they sell domestic hardwoods?

Do they sell other hardwoods?

Do they sell softwoods?

Do they sell manufactured boards?

Do they sell turning blanks?

Are they a one-man-band or a small, medium or large yard?

Will they cut to length to fit in your vehicle?

Do you have any comments?

Friday I received a shipment of 18 PAR Rectangular Ash Blanks from G&S Specialist Timber.
Shipped via TNT from Carlisle depot. Delivered on the day that had been quoted.

Supplied to spec.
Weight 13.5 Kilos, well wrapped/secured and shipped in good condition.

Dimensions specified by me, order by a friend who wanted some turning done to special order.
Pricing I believe was competitive.

Would have no qualms of recommending them regarding quality, timber supplied of first class clear grade, better than I'm used to accommodating.
